Grimsby and Cleethorpes Liberal Democrats are appealing for people to donate their unused tablets and computers so they can be refurbished and donated to disadvantaged local families to help their children to access online learning while schools are closed.
Cleethorpes Liberal Democrat activist, Roy Horobin said:
"As a teacher I know of many students who cannot access their online learning while schools are closed because they do not have easy access to a computer or tablet.
"A family managing on a low income with several children, will struggle to afford a laptop or tablet for each of them, so we are asking people to donate their unused computers so we they can be cleared of any information, refurbished and given to a student that would benefit so we can give their children a better chance to keep up with their education."
If you would like to donate your old computer or please let us know by contacting Roy Horobin or Les Bonner by direct message on the Cleethorpes Campaigning facebook page, or by email to info@grimsby-cleethorpeslibdems.org.uk and we will arrange for one of our team to collect it.
